Aerial Services regularly awards their excellent employees via a number of internal recognition programs. At the annual Christmas Party, Brian Curtis, Airport & Flight Department Manager, was awarded the second annual “Goldstar Award”.
Goldstar AwardThe “Goldstar Award,” is a peer-to-peer program started at Aerial Services in 2012. It encourages the previous winner to select a new peer to receive the award within a month of their receiving the award. The “plaque” to be passed is in the form of a digital picture frame, which the past winner creates a slide detailing the outstanding skills of the person they are awarding it to. At the end of the year, all of the peer winners of the award choose one among themselves as the annual winner of the “Goldstar” for special recognition.
For 2013, Brian Curtis was selected as the “Goldstar Employee” and was awarded a $500 cash prize. Brian received the peer-awarded “Goldstar” back in August 2013 for his “focus on precision, fabricator extraordinaire, willingly teaches others, and works countless hours to finish tasks.” His continued good work was seen by his fellow awardees throughout the year and lead to his ultimate recognition.
“Brian is a dedicated employee who has successfully lead the platform implementation of our new equipment,” explained Kirk Fisher, Vice President of Operations & CFO. “He works diligently to complete tasks on or ahead of schedule and can always be counted on to get a job done right the first time with precision.”
