Aerial Services donated two park benches to a new “pocket” park in the community of North Cedar, Cedar Falls, Iowa. The park site is located at the former Aerial Services office site known as 2120 Center Street. The mostly residential area was hit hard in the historic 2008 floods, which also devastated the former location of Aerial Services headquarters. Aerial Services since moved onto a new location in the Technology & Industrial park, but placed the benches as a “thank you” for the 30 years in which they did business on the site.
The North Cedar Neighborhood Association dedicated the site on Tuesday, May 21. Aerial Services Midwestern Geospatial Solutions Consultant, Angi Prunty, a former resident of the North Cedar community, attended on behalf of the company. “As a former home owner in this area and employee of Aerial Services, I was pleased to attend the dedication and reconnect with some old friends,” noted Ms. Prunty. “It is great Aerial Services could give back to the community in this way as we all move on and grow from the flood events of nearly five years ago.”
If you are passing through Cedar Falls or in North Cedar, the Aerial Services team encourages you to visit the park and support the community’s efforts. All the best to our friends on Center Street!
