UAS Solutions
In addition to our traditional aerial survey methods, ASI offers cost-effective UAS solutions for those smaller areas of interest where mobilizing a fixed-wing airplane or helicopter is not cost prohibitive. Our Part 107 certified remote pilots provide UAS solutions such as high-density lidar, high resolution orthoimagery, oblique imagery, GSD, point cloud models, and digital surface models, all with the same professional mapping solutions as our traditional aerial surveying. Whatever your needs, our goal is to produce the data you need, quickly and accurately.
Common Applications for ASI UAS Solutions

UAS imagery collection provides many key advantages for aerial surveying of smaller area projects.
Whether you’re conducting a 500-acre topographic survey or inspecting hundreds of miles of transmission or pipeline corridor, drones can cover more ground in less time without sacrificing accuracy.
Traditional means of gathering aerial data (manned aircraft) are typically cost-prohibitive for smaller sized projects. We provide cost-effective UAS collection with the same professional mapping solutions (as fixed-wing) to deliver the accurate data you need.
Once aerial lidar or imagery has been collected via UAS, a wide range of additional deliverables are available at a minimal cost. High resolution basemaps with planimetric or topographic features, 3D models, color 3D prints and more are available as additional deliverables.
Traditional manned aircraft typically require a multi-week turnaround time. With UAS, turnaround times are typically less.
UAS offers low elevation, ultra-high-resolution imagery which may not be obtainable with traditional data collection methods.
We provide orthoimagery, surface models, contour lines, planimetric mapping, and 3D models that are compatible with a multitude of GIS and CAD programs.
